If you’ve noticed a bit of radio silence on our digital front porches lately, you aren’t imagining things. After an unannounced, tech-induced hiatus courtesy of a Facebook account lockout, we have officially broken back into our own accounts!


They say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone, and while we missed sharing the daily beauty of the mansion with you, we certainly weren’t sitting idle. We used our time offline to plot the grandest, most exciting season in Oaklea Mansion history.

Two Massive Milestones on the Horizon

We are stepping into a season of profound celebration, marking both the deep history of this estate and our own journey of stewardship.

August 22, 2026 – The 30th Anniversary of Oaklea Mansion:

This August, the mansion celebrates three decades of opening its doors to travelers, dreamers, and history lovers. We are planning a milestone celebration to honor thirty years of timeless Southern hospitality.


February 2027 – Our 5-Year Anniversary:

Hard to believe, but this upcoming February marks five years since we took the keys to this historic property. It has been the honor of a lifetime to preserve this piece of Winnsboro heritage, and we can't wait to toast to five years with all of you.


The Return of the Holiday House Tours

You asked, and we delivered. We are thrilled to announce that our legendary **Holiday House Tours** are officially returning for the 2026 season! The mansion will be transformed into a winter wonderland, offering an immersive, nostalgic holiday experience unlike anything else in East Texas.

Dates: December 10–12 & December 17–19, 2026

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM each night


This year, we are pulling out all the stops to bring the magic of a traditional Christmas to life:

Artisan Decor: We have partnered with incredibly talented local artisans who will be hand-decorating the historic rooms, blending classic holiday elegance with historic charm.

Gingerbread Houses: Marvel at stunning, intricate gingerbread displays that smell just as good as they look.

A Visit from Santa: Bring the family, snap some photos, and whisper your holiday wishes to Santa Claus himself in our grand parlor.


What’s Rolling Out Next on Your Feeds

Now that our channels are fully restored, we are launching two highly requested content series that you won't want to miss:

1. The Carlock House Museum is Rocking & Rolling

Our deep love for the preservation of the 1903 Carlock family history is getting center stage. We are launching a dedicated, twice-a-week mini-series pulling back the curtain on the rare antiques, hidden architectural secrets, and fascinating local legends that live within these walls.
