From the glamour of the Roaring Twenties and the sophistication of the 1930s to the resilience of wartime fashion in the 1940s and the timeless elegance of the 1950s, each display tells a story of changing traditions, culture, and everyday life. As you tour the exhibit, you'll see authentic vintage garments up close while learning about the fabrics, craftsmanship, and fascinating stories behind each piece. Join us as we celebrate 30 years of Oaklea Mansion welcoming guests and sharing the beauty of East Texas! Since opening its doors as a bed and breakfast in August 1996, Oaklea Mansion has become a beloved destination where history, hospitality, and unforgettable memories come together.
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., we invite you to help us commemorate this special milestone. Tour the beautifully restored 1903 mansion, stroll through its historic rooms, meet friends old and new, and discover why Oaklea has become one of East Texas' favorite getaways.
Enjoy light refreshments, anniversary displays, photo opportunities with our beautifully restored 1931 Ford Model A "Woodie", and learn more about the rich history of the mansion and its role in the Winnsboro community over the past three decades.
Whether you stayed with us years ago, recently discovered Oaklea, or have always wanted to visit, this celebration is our way of saying thank you to the guests, neighbors, and friends who have made the past 30 years so meaningful.

Each holiday season, Oaklea Mansion is transformed into a spectacular showcase of festive décor, with every room thoughtfully designed by talented local decorators, businesses, and community volunteers. From elegant Christmas trees and timeless Victorian touches to whimsical holiday displays, each space tells its own unique Christmas story.
Many tour dates also feature special holiday experiences, including visits from Father Christmas and Mrs. Claus, festive activities, and the popular Gingerbread House Competition. The mansion gift shop will also be open, offering seasonal gifts and unique keepsakes to remember your visit.
